Sophie Hunger & guests / 20.40 – 22.00
»I was cut out of your stone / I’m empty but I’m never alone.« On her newest album, Sophie Hunger takes the perspective of nothing less than the moon, the »Supermoon« as she calls it. That turns out to be a perfect fit. The Swiss musicians voice is out of this world. Thanks to her, Swiss pop music is not only associated with Yello anymore. Even in the USA, where she completed a successful tour just recently. The US – more precisely: California – is also where she took refuge after finishing the tours for her third album. The plan was to take a bigger break. But then she learned of the forceful genesis of the moon in a museum and her creativity instantly sparked. She quickly bought a guitar und wrote her fourth album. In August Sophie Hunger will perform her new material in an exclusive show with many illustrious guests.

Cristobal and the Sea / 19.20 – 20.20
The people at the Berlin based record label City Slang, always strongly focused on the USA, where quite surprised when they found themselves in love with a European band again. Especially as the four members of Cristobal and The Sea all have different national backgrounds and live in London, not Berlin. But what enchanting songs the little commune has written. A complex mix with bossa-grooves that generates wave after wave of good moods. They even pull off transverse flutes. It’s highly contagious.
