Philosophy doesn’t have to be lengthy. It can easily work in 140 characters. At least when the US-American Eric Jarosinski is working his smart phone and tweets under his alias @NeinQuarterly. More than 100.000 people follow the public inner dialectic of the former professor of modern German literature, culture, and critical theory. »Adorno probably would have hated Twitter, but he would have hated Facebook much more. He would have despised Facebook.« Jarosinski once said about the great role model for his account. Meanwhile the Germanophile is columnist at DIE ZEIT and the dutch NRC Handelsblad, and tours all around the world with his negating live program as a #FailedIntellectual. For his appearance at »Pop-Kultur« he will be joined by the artist Michaela Meise, who will accompany him with melancholic tunes on the accordion. Apart from numerous exhibitions, she recorded hymns from the 17th, 18th and 19th century for her album »Preis dem Todüberwinder (Praise the Overcomer of Death)«. Moreover Meise worked with Tocotronic and set the lyric of the ancient poet Sappho to music with Sonja Cvitkovic and Birgit Megerle.
