How does up-to-date copyright law have to work in 2015? Three very different experts will discuss this important topic at »Pop-Kultur«. Dieter Gorny founded the music fair »Popkomm« and was longtime managing director of music-TV station VIVA. In March 2015 Gorny, chairman of the board of the Federal Music Industry Association, was named the Representative for Creative and Digital Economy in the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. For five years now, Anne Haffmans is the German label manager for two of the biggest and most important indie labels in the business: Domino and Mute Records. For the latter she is working in different capacities since the 90’s. Depeche Mode, Nick Cave or Daft Punk already relied on her expertise and engagement. Replacing Alec Empire, who sadly fell ill, musician and producer Daniel Meteo of Bus and Alb will represent the perspective of Berlin’s underground scene. Meteo also (co-)runs the labels Shitkatapult and Meteosound and is a prolific DJ. The German Federal Minister of Justice and Consumer Protection, Heiko Maas, will also be attending the talk.
